During the renovation journey of Kanari Estate, it was at the forefront to pair its classic features and character with my love of contemporary pieces rich in colour and bold in structure. Choosing and finding materials and finishes that Latinate and age over time add character and warmth - something that I seek in everything I curate. Sourcing the right balance of old vintage pieces and new to furnish the house took hours of hunting and played an integral role in making the blend of styles work. In each room I wanted to create an element of surprise, while ensuring it would bring joy, calm and little bursts of magic to our day. Practicality was also a priority, as we wanted our daily rituals to be easy, fuss free and enjoyable. The home is an expression of my creativity as an interior designer, also allowing me a sanctuary to create in my work life yet feel calm in my every day.
